Spec Provenance NotesWhat to do when a vendor's own two documents disagree about its own model.

Spec Provenance Notes

Most wrong specifications about a new model are not invented. They are inherited — from a neighbouring product's spec sheet, from a pre-release page nobody updated, or from a vendor document that contradicts another vendor document. The error is usually traceable, and tracing it is more useful than correcting it, because the same path produces the next error too.

These notes work through three specific cases in Alibaba's Wan 3.0 documentation: two places where the vendor contradicts itself, one widely repeated figure traced back to the product it actually belongs to, and the citation format that would have caught all three.
